Borealys Games is dropping ARPG Echoes of Mystralia into early access with promises of delivering a full 1.0 version within a year, and I have to say, from my time with it, I can’t say that seems unrealistic. But in the current early access build, you’ll get access to the first 3 regions, a bunch of bosses, and starting spells and items, so unless you’re about to blast through this whole game in a weekend, I don’t think you’d necessarily notice its current early access state.

For all the similarities Kusan shares with the game that inspired it, the story isn’t one of them. Developer CIRCLEfromDOT delivers an in‑your‑face narrative wrapped in gorgeous comic‑panel artwork, yet the substance underneath doesn’t quite keep pace.

Tales of Seikyu is a cozy farming sim that stars a whole bunch of half-animal/half-human hybrids known as Yokai (as well as a few just regular humans), all of whom are meant to look conventionally attractive so that when you get further down the line, you can make one of them your boo and get them to help you out on your mystical quest to find your parents and the rest of the fox clan…

Morsels is a frantic and, quite frankly, bizarre action roguelike that feels a bit like Binding of Isaac had an illegitimate child with Pokémon. Players control a small mouse that blasts through disturbingly beautiful and increasingly odd landscapes, taking down monsters and entering mouse holes as they battle against their one true enemy—CATS (would you expect anything else?)

The Alters brings a new perspective to this question. It not only imbues 11 Bit’s themes with fresh and fascinating new ideas, but creates a dynamic, reactive framework from which emerges some of the most creative science fiction I’ve ever experienced.
